The Acceptance and Payment of the Fuzzing and Software Security Summer School 2024 has been concluded. Participants who have accepted and paid for the Summer School will receive detailed administrative instruction of the Summer School via email.

1) ​Accommodation, if required, shall be self-arranged by the participant. The fees paid above will no t cover accommodation.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) When and where will the Fuzzing and Software Security Summer School 2024 take place?

The Summer School will be hosted by the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore.  The school will be held over the week of the 27th-31st May 2024.

2) Who is eligible to participate in the summer school?

The school is open to students, postdocs, faculty, and industry practitioners who are interested in software security and fuzz testing.  Both local and international applications are welcome.  Some background in software security or software testing will aid your application. Generally the audience is mixed. 

3) What is the focus of the summer school?

The general focus of the summer school is software testing (fuzzing) and security.  The school will feature instruction from five International experts in the area of fuzz testing, both from academia and industry. Students are expected to gain insights and knowledge in the latest trends and technologies related to fuzzing and software security in general. Hands-on exercises will be provided in this edition of the summer school.

4) Can industry professionals attend the summer school?

Yes, the school is open to both current students and industry professionals.

5) How can I register for the Fuzzing and Software Security Summer School?

The registration portal will close on the 16th February 2024.

6) What are the registration fees for the summer school?

Please visit the registration page for the fee schedule.  Discounts are available for local (Singaporean) students and government agencies.

7) Is accommodation provided as part of the registration fee?

Accommodation is not provided as part of the package.Please also note that the Fuzzing Summer School organizers will not be involved in arranging accommodation for participants. We are providing the information in the following paragraph for the benefit of attendees but we will not be able to help individual (or subsets of) attendees in arranging their accommodation.

8) What about visa arrangements for international attendees?

Visa letters may be requested by selected attendees at fuzzing@comp.nus.edu.sg  The organizers will not be able to help with the visa applications in any way, beyond providing the letter. Attendees may email us on this, only after they are selected for the summer school.

9) What does the registration fee cover?

The fee covers the entire 5 day programme, and includes lunch, tea breaks, social events and a banquet dinner.

10) Is there any financial support or scholarships available for participants?

At this point we do not have such arrangements. For exigencies we can try to consider scholarships for a few applicants on a case by case basis. 

11) Can I get insights into the networking opportunities at the summer school?

G enerally we expect a good mix of attendees, including both students and industry professionals. The speakers of the summer school as well as the organizing team are established researchers in the field with a high research footprint. Therefore, attending the summer school can be very beneficial for networking and future research connections, apart from knowledge in software security.
